About Us
Canine Education is a professional
dog training school offering high quality, fun dog
training in Newbury, Thatcham and the surrounding area.
Run by Caroline Maskell, Canine Education uses kind,
reward based training methods, such as clicker training
and aims to enhance relations between owner and dog.
In order to keep our knowledge as up to date as
possible, all our instructors regularly attend courses,
conferences and seminars and each is an experienced dog
owner of breeds varying from Jack Russells to Whippets.
Caroline has a particular interest in the Gundog breeds,
beating every season with her Springer Spaniel and
picking up with her Labradors at several local shoots.
Caroline is also an instructor for West Berks Gundog
Club. She also has first hand experience of living with
difficult dogs and rescues, so is understanding of the
struggles some owners go through. The majority of our
clients come to us as referrals from local vets and
rescue centres that support our kind methods.

Classes
We specialise in essential
socialisation and training for puppies, rescues
and all ages and breeds of both pet and working
dogs. Small classes (averaging only 8 dogs) with
a minimum of 2 experienced instructors help to
ensure a high quality learning experience. We
encourage all the family to attend especially
well behaved children.
We are one of the few training schools in this
area able to offer courses at Puppy through to
Advanced level, guided by the same instructors
throughout.

One-to-One
Tuition & Consultations One-to-one
tuition facilitates concentration on specific
areas that may be of concern. Alternatively,
consultations can cover general guidance for
those who have just acquired a new puppy or
rescue dog. Sessions typically take place in
your home where your dog can be observed in its
own surroundings allowing us to see existing
behaviours. Alternatively, you & your dog may
attend our offices where we can provide both
indoor and outdoor training/advice

Outdoor
Training For those wishing to either work
in a group setting to further their dog's
training in an outdoor environment surrounded by
new sights and smells, or for those who want
individual tuition we are able to simulate many
scenarios at our private outdoor training
grounds. Great fun!
