Puppy
Socialisation and Basic Training Classes
Please note that the attendance of Puppy
Parties should not be viewed as a replacement
to our structured Socialisation and Training
Classes.
A lack of early socialisation and habituation
can cause a dog to be fearful towards people,
dogs, other animals and indeed the environment
around them, which could stay with them for the
rest of their lives.
Attending our puppy classes gives you the
opportunity to introduce your puppy to new
experiences, allowing socialisation and
habituation in a safe, rewarding and friendly
environment.
Our fun classes are held in Curridge WI Hall,
last six weeks and include socialisation with
dogs and people, handling, grooming and
supervised play sessions where puppies can learn
vital communication skills. They will also learn
basic training including:- |
Sit
Lie down Leave Come when called
Loose lead walking Greeting behaviour
Puppy classes are a fantastic foundation for
further training and go a long way to preventing
problems from ever occurring. All breeds of
vaccinated puppies that are no older than 20
weeks when a course starts can attend. The
earlier you start the better! (Some vets will
allow puppies to attend soon after their first
vaccination please consult your vet
beforehand). For details of our next courses and
to enrol please check our
availability
page.
